25,000 post-it notes make up a kaleidoscope of colour in a video by LA’s The Family Bones.

This week’s musical pick comes to us via our good friend Dagmar from Chicago.

The Family Bones is the creation of Los Angeles based singer/songwriter Justin Webb.

Justin comes from a lineage of talented people. His father is famed songwriter/singer/composer, Jimmy Webb.

Having gone through a “messy divorce” Justin moved to L.A’s Echo Park district and called upon a varied band of characters including his long time friend and collaborator Cal Campbell, Jason Falkner (Air, Jellyfish,) Jonny Polonsky (Pucifer,) and Michelle Stoddart (The Magic Numbers) to bring his new record to life.

For the “If You Ever Need Someone” video the band used 25,000 post-it notes to create a hand-made kaleidoscope of colour. Directed by Aaron Kaminar it took four months to complete.

We love the concept and the sound. Hope you will too.
