With the forthcoming release of the new Snow White and the Huntsman flick it only makes sense that our soundtrack for this week is the film’s headlining song.
The epic anthem “Breath of Life” was performed by English band Florence + the Machine and recorded at London’s iconic Abbey Road Studios accompanied by a full orchestra and choir. It packs a mean musical punch.
“I love choirs and I love choral music,” the band’s frontwoman Florence Welch told MTV, “and there was a 60-piece choir singing the vocal parts that I had written. When the baritones came in, I nearly wept, it was so emotional.”
The video documents that experience in the studio. The movie, by the way, comes out June 1.
