Top Shots: Mexico

By Marcin (Moka) Mokrzewski

I recently had the chance to visit Mexico. Coming off an amazing trip to the Middle East, I craved to see the real Mexico, not the glamorized all-inclusive Cancun version most “Gringos” experience. Instead, I headed down to the sprawling metropolis of Mexico City (Distrito Federal, or D.F. for short).

All I can say is “wow”. With over 20 million inhabitants in the metropolitan area, epic traffic jams (which have known to exceed 500,000 cars,) our continent’s poorest living side by side with the richest and all in the shadow of a violent drug war, it’s hard to believe you are but a 4 1/2 hour flight from Toronto.

Nonetheless, I found a certain charm in the chaos, so much so that I plan on going back very shortly. But since a picture is worth the proverbial thousand words, I figure they should do the talking.

Here are my TOP SHOTS from Mexico…
