Everybody loves Denim!
What’s not to love? It’s cool, comfortable and looks sharp.
It’s an instant dose of attitude, and Toronto just got an injection of some.
Last week the Amsterdam based designer clothing company G-Star RAW, which is known for its innovative and cutting edge style in the world of denim (inspired in part by military clothing), opened up a store on Toronto’s Queen Street (328 Queen St. W.)
The company has been on a campaign of global expansion with its mono brand stores which are essentially franchises bought into by local entrepreneurs.
The new Toronto store is owned by David Tam and Cindy Lam and at 3500 square feet it’s the largest G-Star store in Canada.
Opening night was a huge success. YouNxt was invited to join over 500 guests including local tastemakers, the band Down With Webster, artists Kreesha Turner and J-Diggz, MuchMusic hosts Jesse Giddings and Liz Trinnear, actors Daniel Desanto, Lee Rumohr, Samantha Munro and Melinda Shankar and Toronto Maple Leafs Jay Rosehill and Joey Crabb.
Here are the Top 7 Shots taken by iPhone snapping guest Anna B. Enjoy…
