TIFF Talk: Dir. Kasia Roslaniec

By Filip Terlecki

Kasia Roslaniec is the young Polish filmmaker behind the movie Baby Blues which is playing now at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

Having made a splash with her debut feature Mall Girls (which was also selected to play TIFF,) Baby Blues was handpicked for the festival by TIFF’s CEO, Piers Handling, for being “Scrappy, energetic and affecting” and delivering a cliché-free “edgy and disarmingly frank look at teen pregnancy.”

Here’s a look at Baby Blues – which has its final TIFF screening this Saturday, September 15 at 12:15 pm .

Recently we got a chance to speak with the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing graduate about being a young director and what it means to have a voice.
