Check out these videos by directors Dawid Krępski and Krzysztof Skonieczny for Polish singer Monika Brodka.
Brodka first made a name for herself in 2004 after winning the Polish version of Britain’s Pop Idol. With her latest record, Granda, she bravely left conventional pop songs behind and made music on her own terms, establishing herself as a new voice on the indie-pop scene.
The singer’s beautiful vocals combined with vibrant and original visuals make these videos truly mesmerizing. Brodka’s soft, clear and precise voice is like a cookie for the ears.
And speaking of her sound, she recently voiced the character Karai in the Polish version of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Krzyżówka Dnia (Crossword of the Day)
Four days of shooting, 60 hours on set, several visual arts students and a dozen works that were eventually destroyed. This, in short, is Krzyżówka Dnia. The clip was created using the classic technique of stop-motion animation.
The director, Krzysztof Skonieczny, mentioned that the video was inspired by the work of French director Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind).
KROPKI KRESKI (Dots and Dashes)
