Being fans of obscure international films, several months ago we decided to see The Lunchbox. This Indian film is based on a mistaken delivery in Mumbai’s very efficient lunchbox delivery system that connects a young housewife to an older man as they build a fantasy world together through notes in the lunchbox.
The movie is magic. The story is touching, refreshing, and not at all predictable.
Other than the story I was really struck by the fiercely efficient lunchbox delivery system that the movie focuses on. It’s amazing how in a city so loaded with people this type of delivery services flourishes and has for many years.
So, you can imagine how excited I was when I learned about Tiffinday, a vegan lunch delivery service that delivers hot meals right to your office! The idea is simple: order your lunch online by 3pm today and get a warm lunch delivered to you tomorrow.
All meals are made fresh and feature a variety of dishes from across the Indian Subcontinent and, the lunches are delivered in stainless steel tiffins making this service an environmentally friendly one. Have you used this service or others like it? How did you like it?
