Travel and tourism can be a tumultuous business. With airfare prices at an all time high, stringent security, body scanning, finger printing, natural disasters (say hello Eyjafjallajökull volcano) and random cruise ship crashes, it’s no wonder staycations are becoming all the rage.
It’s also why tourism boards worldwide are embracing social media and the power of viral videos to inspire people to hit the road.
Case in point: MOVE – a video commissioned by STA Travel Australia who sent three guys on a trek around the world to create three beautiful and compelling short films.
Here are 44 days, 11 countries, 18 flights, 38 thousand miles, an exploding volcano, two cameras and almost a terabyte of footage crammed into one epic minute:
