Directed by Filmmaker Agnieszka Holland and nominated in the “Best Foreign Language Film” Academy Awards category, In Darkness, is a Polish/German/Canadian co-production that tells the true story of Leopold Socha, a sewer worker and petty thief who stumbles upon a group of Jews in the sewers and agrees to hide them for a price. But what starts out as a straightforward business arrangement becomes something unexpected, as they all try to outwit certain death during 14 months of intense danger.
