In Darkness at the Oscars

We’ve been following the progress of Agnieszka Holland’s critically acclaimed film In Darkness since it screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.

So it was perhaps fitting that we had an opportunity to chat with the film’s cast and crew on the eve of the Academy Awards.

The film is up for a Best Picture Oscar in the Foreign Language film category.

We joined the filmmakers on the rooftop of the Petit Ermitage hotel, which overlooks Hollywood. Here’s what they had to say…

And as far as the actual awards go, the Oscars take up an entire street block.

It’s a ginormous production with tents, stands, camera rigs and heavy security. It’s literally as if an “entertainment” army had landed and set up camp on a random city block. Here are some behind the scenes photos…
